EPPD: Lawless Invasion

From officers who steal, sleep on the job, seemingly hate women, to not giving a damn about the law, I am disgusted. I feel sorry for the good officers who are overlooked for promotion, those good officers who do their damnest only to be hated by the public because of the actions of a few. I understand your pain and how hard this is for you to overcome. I’ve got your six for those officers who want to make a change and follow the law. For every crooked officer in the department, this became personal for me when some of your officers decided to harass my wife and my family. There is a song by NWA for you, so listen to it.

EPPD Overtime: A Correction from Within

There are a few things that I would like to address. I for one am for transparency, good or bad. This includes when people I might agree with are wrong on other matters. For those officers who say they are missing out on overtime, this is not true.

Another Police Officer, Another Set of Questions

I have been with the El Paso Police for a number of years. After I left the Army, I decided to join and see if I could protect our city. I now know that I should have stayed in the Army, and this is why I am looking for a new job.

EPPD: It’s Time For Change

We ask you, Chief Pacillas, when do you actually start giving a damn, really do your job, and weed out the corrupt individuals who refuse to do any actual police work? Or, is your reluctance to act proof that you would also have to remove yourself from the job for being the same caliber of officer that gives the department a bad name? Have you done any real police work, Chief Pacillas, in the last ten years? Or have you sat upon your arse and collected a check, quivering with fear you may actually have to do something other than add your name to meaningless emails written by others?

A Hero Without a Cape

It is simply refreshing to see a Police Officer in El Paso, Texas who is armed and has the choice to utilize the subject with a handgun, lay down the gun, and talk to the subject as a means of gaining the subject’s attention. This is real police work based upon true training and compassion. I am disturbed to learn from your articles that this officer’s own Police Department is considering criminal against this Officer for the video being sent out.

EPPD: An Internal Battle

I want to take a moment to comment on Sergeant Camp, what the department has chosen to do, and the track they have placed themselves on. I am a long-time veteran of the El Paso Police Department and am ashamed of what the department is becoming.

Welcome to the Modern-Day Keystone Cops

“They’ve suspended Camp,” an officer with the El Paso Police Department discloses. “The only guy who’s been tirelessly looking out for us, and they’ve abruptly removed him.” This sudden absence of Sgt. Camp, a key figure in our community, leaves a void that many are concerned about.

A Comment From Another Article

The Jerusalem Press is fully back on Tuesday. However, we want to share some developments with you.

The following is a comment that was sent to us.

25-Hour Rule & Cops Allows Death on I-10

In 2018, Chief Allen said, “We don’t write a blanket policy because of the one-time or three-time event and all of a sudden try to change the dynamics of how the department works.” This was what he left reporters with after every media outlet was writing about the massive amount of overtime officers were doing and the accidents and deaths lack of sleep caused.

Something Is Rotten in EPPD

Over the last two days, we have received almost fifty (50) emails from officers within the El Paso Police Department. These emails show the department’s deteriorating morale. They also speak to a larger problem that neither EPPD nor the City of El Paso plans to correct.
