LAS CRUCES, N.M. (Southwest News Today) — Dona Ana County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a crash fatal Saturday afternoon, on Highway 28.

Sheriff Kim Stewart has confirmed that one person is dead and three have been transported to hospital.

The crash, at the intersection of Highway 28 and Snow Road, involved two SUVs. This is the second serious crash in the area in as many weeks.

Sheriff Stewart encouraged drivers to use extra caution and slow down on that roadway.
