3 April 2025, El Paso, Texas, Steven Zimmerman—This morning, the El Paso Police Department has been busy. The first notice I shared on X (formerly Twitter) was about a scene where the Department was working on a murder at 4016 Fillmore in Northeast El Paso.
At the scene, Officers discovered a man, dead in his home, with a shower curtain wrapped around him. Officers have determined that the man is a member of the United States Army.
“The death is under suspicious circumstances,” said an Officer close to the scene. “Crimes Against Persons is handling the case, and I believe they will have the Autopsy done today.”
“This has been confirmed as a murder,” updated an Officer who was on the scene. “The case will be handled by CAP now.”

Police have also worked a fatality where two vehicles hit each other, and two people were nearly ejected. One vehicle was on its side, with a man pinned under it. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additionally, another person, a woman, was also dead at the scene.
The contributing factor to this crash was drunk driving on the part of the driver. She will be charged with Intoxicated Manslaughter.
The El Paso Police Department has also worked on a stabbing today. We have no further information on that case.
What makes matters worse for the offices on the street is that the Regional Command ran out of vehicles for use with petrol because it had to secure so many scenes.
One officer commented that he hoped this was an eye-opener for the Department.
The following email was provided to us by a fireman who was working the scene of the wreck and fatality. The email was sent department-wide from FUSION:
