Black Gun Rising Militia

9 September 2024, El Paso, Texas, Steven Zimmerman – This article started a month ago, with a message from a fellow Jew. What I’ve learned, what I’ve seen and read in this group has me worried about our safety, our existence, and our future in the United States.

“I posted about Donald Trump, a lot of support videos,” says Avraham Greenburg, of New York. “I posted these on TikTok, and yesterday I received a message telling me that I should join this group of like-minded people.”

What Mr Greenburg received was a message to join a group on Signal called the “Black Gun Rising Militia.”

Mr Greenberg said that he knows others who have received the same invitation. “Post something on the TikTok that makes you look far right, and I will share it. Maybe after that then they will contact you.”

“I am terrified by what they are sharing,” said Mr Greenberg.

I began posting more than a few videos that ranged from center, to far right politically. Within a week, I received a message.

“we [sic] are looking to grow as an international group, and to join forces with other groups to take a stand for what is ours. I can’t be too specific [sic] here, but if you would like to join and help, send a message on the Signal app, to funtimes.83, we also have ‘supplies’ available our group on signal if you want to join: ******************”

I joined.

When one joins this group, they receive the welcome message pictured below.

We’ve observed this group for the past month, and things have gone from scarry to a point where we need to be vigilant. Especially with 16 October coming up.

Why the 16th of October? In 1943, the Jewish quarter of Rome was surrounded by Nazis, as the residents were loaded into train cars and sent to Auschwitz.

All throughout this group, mixed in with the daily anti-Semitic garbage, are calls to begin attacking us Jews, here in the United States, and abroad. But could there be any truth to this date, and planned attacks? Could this be a group of lost, hate-filled children, with no real aim, or goal?

This group, the Black Gun Rising Militia, has a second group, the Black Gun Rising Militia Library.

The library for this group contains links and direct information on how to create, use, and improve ghost guns and suppressors.

Within the main group, you have individuals talking about issues they’ve encountered while creating these ghost guns, and others providing advice on how they overcame the same issues. Additionally, there have been videos posted, with an adult narrating how to perfect a ghost gun and a suppressor.

Other videos provide tips on how to get past metal detectors and security so that one may carry out their mission on 16 October.

This group could very well be populated with hate-filled children, but they are impressionable.

One message on the group, which you can see here, is of a member saying he was stabbed. The next day, the same individual posted a video, allegedly of him and a few others, beating an African American teen.

Even if the video posted to the Signal group was not a member of the Black Gun Rising Militia beating an African American teen, it is still worrisome on its own. During the one-sided beating, the racial slurs were beyond belief.

Hate of another, based on ethnicity, religion, skin color in today’s world is beyond belief. To know that groups, such as the one I am writing about, exist should be enough to worry all of us. To add to that, Black Gun Rising Militia has begun branching out, creating specific groups for Russian, Germany, and other locations beyond the United States.

When we first discovered the content of this group, and their overall goals, we did notify the Federal Bureau of Investigations in Albuquerque. When we last spoke to their Public Information Officer, the message wasn’t positive. We were told that she was still waiting to hear back from other agents. As of publication, additional emails have gone unanswered.

We all need to be worried about the next generation, and the older members of society, who are active in this group, Black Gun Rising Militia. All it may take is for one member to act, and the others will follow.

For those of us about to celebrate Yom Kippur, we need to be more vigilant than normal, more so than we normally would be during this past year. This group just may be lost, hate-filled children and adults, but we can’t be sure.

I will tell you this much: I’ve seen quite a lot in my fifty-three years of life, but what I’ve seen and read in this group has me worried about our safety, our existence, and our future in the United States.
