“Angel de la Comunidad” Award to Honor Local Advocate

EL PASO, TX (October 2024) – Funeraria Del Angel Crestview, a new Funeraria Del Angel® location in El Paso, invites the community to its grand opening on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will take place at 1462 North Zaragoza Rd. and will feature music, food, family-friendly activities, lotería, raffles, and more.

As part of the celebration, Funeraria Del Angel Crestview will present the “Angel de la Comunidad” award, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities. This year’s recipient, Monica Monarrez, is a small business owner and active community advocate known for her efforts in organizing initiatives that support local families and children in need.

Monica’s work in El Paso includes fundraising efforts to provide essential items for local families, advocating against animal cruelty, and raising awareness for childhood cancer through her nonprofit organization, Gold Out El Paso. Her dedication to helping those in her community has made a lasting impact, underscoring the importance of giving back.
